Tiffany Penix, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician
Hi, my name is Tiffany and I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician with Countryside Animal Clinic since 2007. I graduated from Stautzenberger College with my associates degree in vet. med. In 2006.
I truly love where I work, and who I work with and believe we have the best team.
I am married to an amazing man and together we have one old girl Mimi (our Yorkie mix), 3 children, and 6 grandchildren. In my spare time you’ll find my husband and myself along with our old girl at our camper lounging and being lazy, but my favorite past time is having our grandson over for sleepovers. Their really is nothing better than being grandparents.
Hi, my name is Meghan, and ever since I could remember I always wanted to work with animals, which lead me to attend four county career center my junior and senior year of high school. From there I started my college career and now I’m in my last semester at stauzenberger college working towards my veterinary technician license. Growing up I was very involved with 4-H and FFA and I volunteered at numerous animal shelters. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, friends and of course my two cats, Kylo and miss kitty and my lab Hank.
Jayme Miller, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician
Animals have always played an important role throughout my entire life. Growing up, our animals were always considered members of the family. I started a career with animals as a groomer and a kennel assistant at a local clinic. As time went by I realized my calling was, and still is, in veterinary medicine and have been working in the field since 2015. I recently graduated from San Juan College with an A.A.S. degree majoring in Veterinary Technology and now licensed in Ohio and Michigan as a veterinary technician. I joined the team at Countryside Animal Clinic in November of 2022 as an RTV/Training Coordinator. I’m passionate about dentistry, behavior, providing compassionate low stress handling of our furry patients and helping our team grow. I have an amazingly supportive husband and 3 wonderful step-children. I currently share my time with Maddie (3 legged lab/pitty mix), Jaxon (Great Dane) and 3 kitties (Marvin, Roger and Gertie). In my spare time I love to read, be outside in nature and spending time with my husband.
I have always enjoyed working with and around animals of all kinds. My love for animals has led me to volunteering and working at Nature’s Nursery and now here at Countryside. I am currently working on my veterinary technician degree but have a bachelor’s degree in Ecology from BGSU. My husband and I run a boarding stable and share our home with two dogs, some barn cats, a bunch of horses, and one snake named Sesame. I started riding horses when I was 5 and never looked back from that. I spend the majority of my free time riding my horses, Shine and Jr., on the trails and reading.
I have been with Countryside Animal Clinic for a year as a Receptionist and occasionally help out in the back. I graduated from Stautzenberger College in 2002 and was a Registered Veterinary Technician working in small animal practices until I left to expand my family. Since then I have had 3 children (Will – 19, Barrett – 15 and Camden – 14) and added a bonus daughter (Lauren – 14). I have been married to my husband Brian for 5 1/2 years and we have 4 dogs – Siberian Huskies: Apollo – 3, Meeko – 4, Gus – 5 and Molly – 7, an Australian Shepherd.
I absolutely love what I do here, love the staff, the clients and the patients. I love client education and helping out where and when I can. I was out of veterinary medicine for awhile but stepping back into it, it was like I never left. I felt home again…
Dawn Marcus, DVM
Hi everyone! I’m excited to be a part of this awesome team. I graduated from University of Florida in 2006 with an interest in practicing mixed animal medicine. The first two years were at an equine only practice in Illinois. After that, I moved to the area and practiced for 14 years at Blissfield Veterinary Service doing equine and small animal medicine and surgery. During that time I met my husband, got married, and had 3 great children. It’s a bit crazy with 3 kids under 7, an old terrier, a crazy black lab, and whatever critter I take home to fix up every now and then. I enjoy medicine, surgery, and small animal dentistry. I try very hard to make sure that my patients are as happy to see me as I am to see them – lots of low stress handling and restraint. At some point in the near future I am interested in adding acupuncture to the practice. I promise to continually learn new things to help the patients that you entrust to my care to the absolute best of my ability.
Trisstine Davis, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician
Hi, I’m Trisstine “Trissy”. I graduated from Stautzenberger College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Veterinary Technician in 2018. I became a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in January of 2019. I have always had a passion for animals since childhood. I had a female German Shepherd with medical issues, that caused me to finally follow my heart and become an RVT.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, 4 boys, 4 dogs and cat. I also enjoy reading and crafting in my spare time.
Hi! My name is Mataya and I just graduated from Stautzenberger college in November of 2021. Ever since I was little I have always dreamed of working with animals. I have lived on a farm my whole life where we have raised and sold cattle. Working with animals my entire life has definitely impacted my decision to go to school and further my education to help animals as much as possible! I have a dog named Charlie, a barn full of cats and baby calves, and two Indoor cats named Butch and Chaser. I recently just started working here at Countryside after I completed my externship here! I am working on getting my technician license as well! In my free time you can find me working on the farm or hanging out with all my fur babies at home!
